North American Market Access

A material proven in one market does not thereby qualify for North American projects. The threshold is a body of compliance evidence that designers, engineers, testing laboratories and approval authorities can actually rely on.

We take building material producers through the full sequence — product definition, code pathway analysis, test planning, technical documentation, evaluation and certification, and first project application. What you end up holding is not a set of test reports but an evidence package that supports specification, code review and procurement.

This is the route we are following for foamed ceramics, and the service we offer for other established materials. If your product is proven in its home market, we can identify what evidence it lacks for North America and set out a phased, budget-controlled access plan.

Eight modules

01

Regulatory review and material whitelist

Establish what the applicable codes and bylaws currently permit, and which materials can be specified without a discretionary approval. Identify precisely where foamed ceramic products would and would not fall inside that envelope.

02

Cost and value comparison

Landed cost modelling against the incumbent assemblies — light wood framing, EPS, mineral wool, fibre cement — including freight, duty and installation labour, not just unit price.

03

Getting into the specification

Prepare the submissions and technical packages needed for a product to be listed in design catalogues and standard details, so specifiers can reach for it without bespoke justification each time.

04

Construction drawings

Detail design for the material as installed: junctions, penetrations, movement joints, fixings and interfaces with adjacent assemblies.

05

Installation procedure and inspection

Written method statements, tolerances, and quality-control checkpoints through construction and at handover.

06

Supply, demand and import channels

Which material categories are locally short and which are oversupplied; shipping routes and lead times from Chinese production to North American ports.

07

Secondary fabrication

Connecting imported stock to local fabricators for cutting, CNC and laser carving of profiles, trim and bespoke architectural elements.

08

Demonstration and pilot projects

Building the first installed references — self-built, or in partnership with a local designer, builder or end user — that later evidence and approvals can point at.

What we bring

Thirty-plus years of engineering practice on the materials side in China — process design, feasibility studies, plant and production line commissioning — combined with the working knowledge of the local construction industry needed to translate any of it into something a Canadian authority will read.

We have not taken a product through CCMC before. We are doing it now, for our own material — so on that particular step we would be a partner in the work rather than a vendor of it.
